2- Kawasan Falls
A natural wonder that amazes it’s visitors with a breathtaking backdrop, relaxing vibes and crystal clear, ice-cool waters is Kawasan Falls. Whether you’re just after a swim in the falls, or feeling more adventurous and want to go trekking or canyoneering, Kawasan Falls really does have something for everyone.
Canyoneering is a popular trek that involves traveling down creeks or streams through a variety of means including walking, jumping, swimming and climbing and is very popular in Cebu with it ending i the famous Kawasan Falls! I cannot recommend this enough, it really was a truly exhilarating and enjoyable experience!
With such clear waters in the Philippines, snorkelling is a must when you get the chance. Some of the best spots surrounding Cebu are found in Bohol and Nalusuan Islands and really are worth the trip whether it’s just for a day or two!
A popular spot with travellers, Moalboal offers a lively coastal resort along a craggy coastline filled with waterfront bars and restaurants. With a stupendous coral wall directly offshore it proves a perfect spot for snorkelling with never-ending encounters with marine life.
6- Aguinid Falls
Known for it’s calcium rich waters and incredible views is Aguinid Falls. In order to see the falls in its entirety, visitors have to climb and wade through the falls five levels – just be sure to bring waterproof clothes with you!
There are a number of spots in Cebu worth checking out if diving is your thing! Head along to Capitancillo Island for colourful corals and white tip reef sharks, Mactan Island for astonishing drop-offs, Kansantik for visibility up to 130 feet and incredible sea creatures, or head along to Pescador island for turtles frogfish and beautiful corals.
The Philippines is well known for its beautiful beaches many of which surround Cebu Island. Some of the most popular include Bantayan Island, Malapascua Island, Camotes Island and Moalboal – so if white sand and crystal clear waters is what you’re after, be sure to head over to one of these!
9- Mactan Island
Mactan Island is divided into two, the municipality of Cordova and the amazing Lapu-Lapu City. It is well known to tourists for its resorts and magnificent beaches. Also worth checking out is its great diving spots off the southeast coast!
10- Island Hopping
Cebu is a great linking destination to many nearby islands. For those wanting to do a spot of island hopping, ferries regularly run from Cebu to Bohol, Sumilon and Pescador Island – which are all worth checking out!
